Religous Awards

A Scout is reverent. He is reverent toward God. He is faithful in his religious duties and respects the convictions of others in matters of custom and religion. Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts have their own religious emblems according to age and grade that they can earn for their faith. You can also earn the “ALL Faith Award” as a cub scout and as a boy scout. The counselors are parents or leaders of their House of Worship. You can wear the metal and knot on your uniform. It is easy and fun to earn. Boy scouts can earn merit badges right away.

Good Turn for America

Good Turn for America (http://www.goodturnforamerica.org/) is a long term effort by the Boy Scouts of America to encourage and record good turn projects done in our communities. As scouts participate in a Good Turn with the pack, they earn the Good Turn Patch. The first Good Turn they earn completes the circle center patch. For every year after, they receive a Rocker for that year. You can only earn the circle patch once, and the rocker once per year.

  • A scout has to earn the circle patch for one Good Turn before earning the rocker years.
  • The second Good Turn, the scout earns the rocker for the year.
  • In subsequent years, the scout has already earned the circle patch, so one pack Good Turn earns him the rocker for that year.
  • IF THAT SCOUT has already earned the Circle Patch AND the Rocker for the year, we will give out a segment patch for that pack activity.

Religious  This award and the requirements vary from religion to religion. Each denomination and church may have specific requirements, but it usually involves participation in a program with the clergy of the church. A cub scout may earn this twice - once as a Cub (Tiger, Wolf or Bear) and again as a Webelos. If you are earning it a second time, you are given a device to wear on the patch. This award is the ONLY award that can be worn throughout their ENTIRE scouting career - even in to adult leadership uniforms.
World Conservation  The requirements for this award vary from age to age, and it is easier to earn at the younger levels, but can only be earned in Cub Scouts by Wolf, Bear and Webelos Scouts. This award is earned by combining specific requirements for your rank with completing a world conservation service project.

National Summertime Awards

This Award is meant for Cub Scouts. summertime pack award pin A pack can qualify for the National Summertime Pack Award by planning and conducting three pack activities - one each in June, July, and August. This award can be an incentive for greater attendance at your summer pack activities.  Individual scouts that participate in all three pack events can receive the National Summertime Pack Award pin. Starting in 2008, there is a different color pin for each Cub Scout rank so earning the pin each year has more incentive.
Qualifying packs receive a colorful streamer for their pack flag.  Dens with an average attendance of at least half their members at the three summer pack events will be eligible for a colorful den participation ribbon.  The purpose of the National Summertime Pack Award is to encourage packs to provide a year-round program by continuing to meet during the time periods when school is out of session for several weeks or months. If a pack is in a 'year-round school' (or is part of a home-school association), the pack could earn the Summertime Pack Award by having a special pack activity during those breaks.  A scout that earns the Summertime Pack Award pin should display it pinned on the right pocket flap. Multiple pins may be displayed from each year it is earned.  If the scout has also earned the
Outdoor Activity Award, it should be sewn on the right pocket flap and then the Summertime pin pinned through the patch.
